Academics and Hockey

RPM Hockey Company and Mountain Secondary have developed a program and curriculum that provides students the opportunity to balance their educational requirements while developing their hockey skills. This program is available for students in grades 8 through to 12.

RPM provides personalized instruction that educates and develops students in both the physical and mental aspects required to excel in hockey. RPM, in consultation with students and parents helps design a personalized teaching plan catered to meet each player's individual needs. Students are performance tested on the ice monitoring their individual improvements.

RE Mountain Hockey Program Highlights:

Offers on ice and classroom instruction during the school year-September 15 to January 22. Consideration and flexibility during exam times and during Minor Hockey commitments will be made to meet student needs. A typical week for all of our players includes:

Program will alternate between 3 hours on-ice 1 week & 2 hours on-ice the next week, featuring skill based instruction.

Special Events may include out trips to  the Grouse Grind and local Recreation facilities, Guest Speakers and 4 on 4 Tournaments.

Theory instruction provides players with skill breakdowns, progressions, practice planning and proper nutritional strategies for high-level performance.
