Pacific Rim Hockey Academy & Riverside Secondary

Academics and Hockey

Pacific Rim Hockey Academy and Riverside Secondary have developed a program and curriculum that provides students the opportunity to balance their educational requirements while developing their hockey skills. This program is available for students in grades 9 through to 12.

PRHA provides personalized instruction that educates and develops students in both the physical and mental aspects required to excel in hockey. The PRHA, in consultation with students and parents helps design a personalized teaching plan catered to meet each player's individual needs. Students are tested both on and off the ice monitoring their individual improvements.

PRHA Highlights:

Offers on ice, off ice and classroom instruction during the school year-September 10/12 to January 18/13. Consideration and flexibility during exam times and during Minor Hockey commitments will be made to meet student needs. A typical week for all of our Academy players includes:

- 3 hours on ice, skill based instruction

- 2 hour off ice conditioning/week

Off ice conditioning utilizes a variety of training devices and techniques and may also includes out trips to the Grouse Grind and Hot Yoga.

Theory instruction provides players with skill breakdowns, progressions, practice planning, proper nutritional strategies for high-level performance and motivation and goal setting.

Please note a $224 deposit is required at the time of registering  the actual cost of the Hockey Academy is $1120 (-$200 Deposit) Semester 1 (Monthly payment plan available $224/month Sept-Dec).

$224 Deposit is fully refundable up June 30/12. All other refunds are at the discretion of the Academy Administration.
